i've been using a fun superstition (i have many). it's simply this: if you give something love, it works better. i like to think this datum applies in particular to cars and machines. in fact, i just successfully used this tactic with a printer here at work. i told it "i love you, you can do it" and it fixed and did my print job right. coincidence? perhaps. silly? quite. but that's ok. i get more of a kick out of it than reading a manual or clicking "help".

i think i keep little superstitions in my life just for the interest in adding extra parameters to the game...
