all seriousness tossed well aside and away, my friend kristien came over earlier tonight and whirled me up in a blender of giggling fun. we ended up burning a mix cd of a bunch of old and new cheesy-fun songs (soft cell, "sex dwarf"! dee-lite, "groove is in the heart"! old ghetto-bootie classics! etc.!) and sitting in her car, dancing. she and i had perfected the art of car-dancing a couple years ago on a road trip we took to LA. our objective was to come up with as many new specific dances as possible that can be done while sitting in a car. it was extremely fun getting to practice our old ridiculous moves again and even make a couple new ones...

when i hang out with someone, there's a certain matching of energy that occurs that sometimes makes me feel blissfully unaware of anything else. tonight with kristien we got so wound up and giddy, i felt like i was coming off a drug after she left...

fun feels good.
