after school, which is in saratoga, i decided to go to nearby villa montalvo for a hike... it turned into a little photo safari as well, due to the absolutely gorgeous sights i encountered...
after hiking up to the top of one of the trails, i was richly rewarded with this view:
i tried to capture all of the 180-degree vista:
the path was a fairly tough, steep climb, but the fun part was going back down... running pretty much the whole way, i felt like i was flying... and, of course, anything that feels like flying is way cool.
back on the grounds of the villa itself, i walked around the gardens a bit... ran into these lovers:

coincidental, because that's what I'M ALL ABOUT!
so i decided i should definitely come back to villa montalvo every saturday after class. i've been to some rad concerts there (philip glass, kronos quartet, etc.) but had forgotten just how beautiful the place is. also, going for the walk is a lovely way to let philosophy percolate through...
