so i haven't updated this little "digital time capsule for a future self" in many months... it's really been well over a year since i wrote in it with any regularity. it becomes a nearly impossible-seeming task to attempt to condense such a vast length of life into anything remotely satisfying or thorough to myself let alone any abandoned readers. it's now terribly daunting to even try to summarize the noteworthy events transpired - in terms of both their description and what was learned. in the words of the narrating character in Daniel Quinn's book, Ishmael: "There are times when having too much to say can be as dumbfounding as having too little."
